19 Degrees

Is a lot of roll on the deck of a ship. That, I think, is the most we've seen so far. I guess the seas south of the continent of Australia are typically high, so we've been sailing through 10-12' swells for the last few days. It's good fun. I have the top bunk of four, which is probably half again as high as a normal bunk bed, and when the boat rocks that hard, there are definite "I think I'm going to roll right out of bed" moments.

I'm trying to figure out what all I want to do in Sydney. I can't do the one thing I really, really want to, but I might just be able to do the next best thing, which is go (alone!) to a performance at the iconic Sydney Opera House. There's an opera by Bizet called The Pearlfishers playing its last performance while we're there. Or a show that is composed of Leonard Cohen's poetry set to a score. Mom, now it's your turn to be jealous!

Then Hawaii, then home!

And what is it that you really, really want to do?

Most of the time, ships usually don't go down the southern end of Austrailia because of the heavy seas. I feel where you are coming from. I have been in 10-12 foot seas before and they are not fun. Although, I am still jealous that you are going to Sydney. I loved going to Sydney.

You know, if I didn't say, it's probably because I couldn't say. Check the other emphasis for insight, though.

But I do want to go skydiving, which is probably against the rules, somewhere.
