Food potential

I know that there are many way worse things than bad food... Like not having food, for example. But it's not a mood enhancer to have a tray of stuff in front of you that looks as though it should be a decent meal, only to take that first bite and realize that, just like every other meal you've had on the ship, this didn't live up to its food potential.

Boat life hasn't changed any this time from the last two workups. It's still confined, and hectic, and work-intensive.

There are some positives, though. I've never in my life seen so many stars at night. I have seen three whales. You can't ask for better sleep than when the boat is gently rocking you into dreamland (though I recommend having some kind of mattress--um--aid). And being in such close quarters can teach you things about yourself.

On the other hand...

Just kidding. I won't go into a whining jag about how much I don't want to be here. I'll only say that I find myself in fond reminiscence of the old "dirt det." But I am going to miss you people (the four of you that actually read this blog representing the, you know, twenty or so that think of me fondly) when we're actually gone.

So if you want a gmail address so you can keep me company by leaving fun, friendly comments, let me know. I still have fifty invites.

What is your email address? I can send me jokes, etc. Do you have a ship address, also?
