"You don't belong here."
I just got off the phone with my mom. We had an awesome conversation about my last post. I couldn't even begin to contemplate unconditional love if it hadn't been for them. Not just that they love me, but they have surprised me a few times by just how accepting they can be.
So I was elaborating on my position when I came up with the above statement. (It includes the title.) Because when we give outsiders the cool nod, the appraisal, isn't that what we're saying? Not just, "You don't belong here," but "In the Name of Christ," you don't. We are the Church. We are Christ in the world. And I don't want to be one of the people, at the end of everything, who gets "the look" from Jesus and hears "Depart from me, for I did not know you."
Anyway. So that's where I am with that.
If my dad gets to come out for the tiger cruise, I want to take him up there. And also to the
Next stop: another port, and we might be there in time for my birthday! How freakin' sweet is that!
Thanks for the prayers, everybody. Seriously.

Don't have too much fun on your birthday over there. I think I am having a bbq over Memorial Day weekend at the apartment complex. Take care!
I really hope you get to be in port for your birthday. A quarter of a century - dang woman! You're getting old.
Now - don't be toooo jealous, but...I'm going to see Prince Caspian today!! I'm pretty darn excited. Maybe it'll be in Singapore?...or maybe I'll take my camera and tape it for you. I actually thought about it. But you know...that whole following the law thing. Stupid, I know.
Anyway - I love you...and I pray for you every day.
Oh, do you know what tomorrow is?
Uh, May 17th?
