Someone said to me two nights ago that we were setting out to "find some relevance." I thought, "I'm relevant waaay in spite of this ridiculous occupation." And by occupation, I mean what is commonly referred to as "the war in Iraq".
Anyway, more on all that later. Right now, I'm back in Kuwait, waiting.
And everyone is jealous. I guess I would be, too, if the shoe were on the other foot. I told my mum that we signed up to be Marines to do stuff, not to train to do stuff. Even if it is only to be a school bus/mail truck/Mack truck in the sky. And even if it is in support of a so-called war I myself have no use for.
I get to see some cool people again, though, a couple of months earlier than I would have otherwise.
I'm sorry I'm not being explicit. I can't be. But my address is changing for the next few weeks, and in a couple of days I'll be able to say where I am and what I'm doing, I promise.
As of today, I only have six months left until I should be able to go on terminal leave. And that is a good thing, in so many different ways.
I hope you two are still in on this house thing.
